The Address Wren Opens In Glasgow: A New Boutique Stay Above Central Station

We are delighted to welcome The Address Wren to Glasgow, our new boutique hotel in the heart of the city centre.

Officially opened on 17 July 2026, The Address Wren is our second Glasgow property and the sixth hotel in The Address Collective portfolio, following the launch of The Address Glasgow in 2023. Set on the penthouse floor of the iconic Caledonian Chambers building at 87 Union Street, directly above Glasgow Central Station, it is safe to say this is one of our most convenient addresses yet. We are trying not to make too many train puns, but guests really can arrive and settle in with very little fuss.

A Boutique Hotel With A Sense Of Place

With 30 signature bedrooms, The Address Wren has been designed as a warm and intimate city retreat, set high above the pace and personality of Glasgow. Its name takes inspiration from the wren, a bird often associated with nesting, comfort and shelter, which felt like the perfect fit for a calm hideaway above the city.

Inside, we wanted the design to feel thoughtful, elegant and welcoming. Blush tones, richer colours in the public spaces, bespoke furniture and retained oak flooring come together to balance contemporary comfort with the character of the building. Guests will also find layered bedroom lighting, stylish bathrooms with drench showers, and a welcoming reception area with a Grab ’n’ Go counter for those moments when chocolate becomes less of a preference and more of a plan.

Steps From Glasgow Central Station

Location is one of The Address Wren’s greatest strengths. Positioned just steps from Glasgow Central Station, the hotel is ideal for guests arriving by train, visiting for business, planning a shopping break or exploring the city for the first time.

From the hotel, George Square is less than 0.6 miles away, Buchanan Galleries is around a 10-minute walk, and Glasgow Queen Street Station is also within 0.6 miles. With this city-centre setting, guests are well placed for Glasgow’s shops, restaurants, galleries, nightlife and transport links, while still having a calm, design-led space to return to when the city has delivered a full day of steps, stories and probably at least one excellent meal.

Designed For Comfort And Convenience

At The Address Wren, guests can choose from Signature King and Signature Twin rooms, each designed with comfort and ease in mind. Rooms include modern essentials such as complimentary Wi-Fi, smart TVs, workspace and stylish en-suite bathrooms.

Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is at 12:00, giving guests time to settle in, enjoy the city and, importantly, avoiding that dreaded morning rush.
